What is Plio about and what is the brand focusing on?

Plio is a family business run by four brothers who are fathers of eleven children. With over twenty years of experience in high tech manufacturing, they set up Plio production facility in the heart of Europe.

The brand is focusing on manufacturing sustainable and modern kids furniture with minimalistic design that is always super easy to assemble.

Plio is all about a pleasant experience from easy assembly, through practical use and almost no care required thanks to solid plywood construction and smart non toxic surface treatment. Many of our products are modular, adjustable and versatile, truly growing with children.

From strong and durable FSC® certified solid plywood construction, smart non toxic surface treatment, safety, through smart design features and stainless steel inserts assembly. We truly thought about everything and every tiny detail to go above and beyond standards. Our solid wood kids furniture pieces are a perfect fit for an eco friendly nursery.

Apart from absolute safety, our designs incorporate Montessori features encouraging learning, sensory motion development and stimulate creativity of kids and toddlers. Our Kyoob Montessori kids table and chair set is a great example.

All Plio products are made from FSC® certified solid Plywood with maximum rigidity and durability for generations. Wood, as a natural material, creates a calm and relaxed vibe. In all interiors, wooden elements create a soothing atmosphere, and we believe this is important for babies to feel safe in a natural environment.

We only use one type of screw to prevent mistakes during product assembly. Therefore, only one allen key is required and supplied to put all Plio pieces together. All parts fit seamlessly into each other, often with precise slots, and all screws are mounted into stainless steel inserts on the opposing part.

Are Plio products safe?

Safety is a top priority when making kids furniture. We know accidents can happen, especially with kids. So, we made sure that Plio is a great choice for safe kids furniture.

All edges and corners of Plio products are rounded for added safety when coming in contact with the product. Edges are also hand fine finished for a smooth and safe surface, preventing splinter harm. Stability of the product is a must, and our designers took extra care to prevent Plio products from flipping over. We also use smart design features and stoppers to prevent any clinging or trapping of the product user.

All Plio products are treated with wax for longer durability, and all edges are hand fine finished for a smooth surface. Our wax is completely harm free for kids and certified DIN EN 71-3 (2014:12) and DIN 53160, T.1, T.2. The surface is resistant to saliva and liquids.
